AthenaStar is built around a role-based workspace: what you see depends entirely on your assigned role. An Accountant sees Finance and Payroll; a Teacher sees Classes, Attendance and Results; a Parent sees only their child's information. This keeps the interface clean and avoids confusion.

The Dashboard

Your homepage after login is the Dashboard — a card-based summary of the most important numbers for your role right now: outstanding fees, today's attendance, recent results, upcoming calendar events, and so on. Clicking any card drills into that module.

The Left Sidebar

The sidebar is your main navigation. Modules are grouped logically:

• Students — admissions, profiles, promotions, alumni
• Finance — fees, receipts, invoices, defaulters
• Academics — classes, subjects, results, report cards
• Staff — directory, payroll, HR leave, appraisals
• Operations — canteen, transport, hostel, library, infirmary, security
• Communications — newsletter, SMS, parent emails, announcements
• Settings — school profile, terms, appearance, user accounts

The Top Bar

Always visible: your school name and logo (top-left), your name + role badge (top-right), a notifications bell, and the Logout button. On mobile the sidebar collapses into a hamburger menu — tap it to expand.

Quick search

Most list pages (Students, Staff, Receipts, etc.) have an in-page search box. Use it to jump straight to the record you need without scrolling.
